Local campaigner Gavin Booth is standing for the County Council this May because he believes he has the experience and positive vision needed to secure a better deal for Roman Bank & Peckover. Gavin is a well-respected local councillor, and has been Chair of Parson Drove Parish Council for the last 8 years. He has a solid track record of delivering real improvements for our area.
Gavin believes we need to invest more in our local roads. They have been neglected for too long. He also strongly believes we need to invest in road safety improvements in our Town and villages.
Gavin also strongly believes we need to cut bureaucracy and ensure tax payers money is wisely spent. There are too many projects taking place that cost millions of pounds and deliver no tangible benefit delivered. We need to challenge waste and not be complacent, as occurs now.
Gavin said: “I love living in this part of the county. But I still see things I’d like to change on a daily basis. “Whether it’s slowing down traffic through our Town and Villages or fixing broken pavements, there’s so much more I want to achieve. If elected on 4 May, I will be a strong voice for our community and get things done.”
Gavin is chair of a local Street Pride group and helps with local events every year.
